The department regional planning and project development provides the foundation for permit support and installation planning in the areas of
- Renewable energy (wind parks, biogas plants, geothermal energy)
- Mining (metallic minerals, metals, coal, potash and salt, rare earths)
Biogas plant locations - Other industrial and commercial sites with complex requirements for compliance with environmental standards
Early stage consideration of location factors such as
- Infrastructure conditions (media, transportation)
- Ownership situation
- Inventory and zoning plans (land use plan, zoning)
- Geology, hydrogeology, climate protection and nature conservation, abandoned mines
and involvement of public administrative and permitting authorities in the project planning and development process identifies and reduces investment obstacles; this is the key role of regional planning.
