Foundation subsoils form one of the most important cost factors for investment plans. Insufficient consideration of safety or facility requirements can lead to high post-construction expenditures or to shut-down of the facility. An inadequate observance of the foundation subsoil also leads to similar consequences such as cost-intensive incidents of damage or loss, or hazards for life and limb.
In order to maintain foundation subsoil risks as low as possible for the client, the Department of Geotechnics/Subsoils offers the following services:
Focal Points
Subsoil Exploration/Foundation Consulting, Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI) Part XII for:
- Line construction (Streets, rails, utility lines, tunnels, waterways, embankment safeguarding, dikes)
- Expansive construction (airports, residential and industrial developments, landfills)
- Individual construction (engineering construction, bridges, apartment buildings, administration buildings, industrial construction, wind energy farms, reservoirs, dams)
Structure Planning as per HOAI Part VII
Support Structure Planning as per HOAI Part VIII
- Retaining structures (RAB-ING, for example)
- Excavations, shorings, specialized foundations, safety measures for neighboring structures, dewatering, rock stabilization
- Trenches, dams, dikes, hillsides
