Division: Environmental, spatial and land use planning
Permitting of plans and projects requires the assessment of nature conservation interests, usually based on the German Federal Nature Conservation Act. In addition to GICON’s department of environmental management which covers the preparation of environmental impact studies, the department of environmental, spatial and land use planning provides expert opinions for various areas:

- Permit application forms for the regional spatial planning procedure according to § 15 ROG
- Support of regional planning process
Landscape Planning
- Landscape conservation plans (LBP) in accordance with § 17 BNatSchG
- Landscape management implementation plans (LAP), execution planning of mitigation and compensation measures
- Environmental reports on land-use plans (land use plan, development plan), open space plans
- Impact assessment studies according to § 15 BNatSchG (outdoors)
- Public green and open space records based on municipal green space statutes, such as tree planting or protection statutes (indoor)
- Requests for exemption of restraints related to protected areas
- Fauna-Flora-Habitat (FFH) - tolerance investigation in accordance with the Habitats Directive (Directive 92/43/EEC)
