Visit of a delegation of experts from China on Dec. 8-9, 2009

Their trip led them to Dresden and Schöllnitz, among other places.

On the occasion of State of Saxony-implemented training programs in the Bioenergy sector for senior management from the Chinese Province of Hubei, a 12-person delegation visited GICON in Dresden.  The group was headed by Mr. Yuehua Li, the Deputy Mayor of Xianfan, with 6 million residents the second largest city in Hubei Province.  Accompanying Mr. Yuehua Li were additional high-ranking representatives from the political and business sectors.   

On two days during their week-long visit, GICON was able to introduce the company group through speeches and presentations, especially the several systems for biogas generation offered through GICON.  Considered of special interest to the guests was the newest development from the GICON house, the two-stage GICON process.  The viewing of the dry-wet fermentation plant in Schöllnitz with an electrical output of 250 kW was by unanimous opinion a highlight of the delegation’s trip.  On site, the guests could see for themselves the advantages of the process.  The delegation showed great interest in the demonstrated plant technology with its convincing, stable process operation, highest quality technical features, and its resulting high system availability with over 8,000 operational hours - and that at full operation.     

GICON was supported by HERMOS SYSTEMS GmbH from Dresden, which assists GICON in the development and installation of electrical equipment and process control systems for biogas plants.

Further discussions were already being agreed upon for the beginning of this year.
