Cooperation agreement and office inauguration in Azerbaijan

Expansion of our international capacity in Eurasia.

With support from the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety, the 2nd Annual Contaminated Site Conference in Azerbaijan took place from September 6 – 8, 2001 in Sumqayit.

During the conference, a cooperation agreement between Azerikimya/SOCAR, the State oil company, and GICON was signed.  The objective of this agreement is cooperation in the area of contaminated site remediation. A contaminated site remediation PPP project in Azerbaijan, supported by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), was also officially kicked-off.   

Furthermore, the ceremonial opening of our GICON office in Sumqayit occurred on September 6th, 2011:
