NRD TV Report on Beach Trash Collectio all over Europe
March 24th, 2012 was a chilly Saturday at Hohe Duene Beach near Rostock. But it did not prevent IfaOe Employees to join Surfrider Foundation Europe's volunteer day dedicated to cleaning up waterfront and beach trash all over Europe as part of the foundations 'Ocean Initiatives' activities.
This annual event aims to highlight the issue of ocean pollution by non biodegradable and persistent plastic products and packaging trash. At over 100 European beaches including the German beaches of Nordenham, Kiel, Pelzerhaken – Rettin, Hamburg, Spiekeroog, Sylt, Fehmarn Hohe Düne near Rostock volunteers participated in this effort.
The NDR TV Station reported on the acitivities in their 'Nordmagazin' Program of March 24th, 2012 on this important activities which IfaOe will continue to support.
