GICON attending IE Expo 2012 in Shanghai
GICON will be present at the IE Expo in Shanghai from March 7-9, 2012, with a stand in the German pavillion
“WASTE TO ENERGY” is a very topical issue worldwide. Densely populated areas such as Asia often accumulate unmanageable amounts of waste. This waste is usually disposed of in a simple manner. Massive methane emissions, which persists for decades, and the use of increasingly expensive land areas call for sustainable solutions.
GICON has developed a convincing comprehensive concept which optimally and cost-effectively combines waste reduction, emission decrease and energetic recovery from waste. The concept is based on mechanical and biological processes, and includes three main steps:
Step 1 - sorting of the waste and segregating out recyclable fractions, followed by simple pre-treatment of the remaining waste (mostly wet fraction with a high organic content, but also including impurities).
Step 2 - fermentation of organic wastes in the patented two-stage, dry-wet GICON fermentation process with separate hydrolysis. The highly-efficient, robust process enables reliable treatment of impurity-containing wastes.
Step 3 - Location-specific, customized conditioning of the remaining residual waste for space-minimized, low emission and maintenance-free final disposal
This subject will be the focal point of GICON’s stand within the German Pavillion at IE Expo 2012, taking place from March 7-9, 2012, in Shanghai, China.
