Department: Environmental Management
During the preparation of new investments, the Department of Environmental Management provides support through concept establishment and evaluation of possible technologies. For the rapid certification of industrial and waste handling facilities, hydraulic engineering measures or transport facilities, the required environmentally-oriented documentation will be professionally developed.
For existing production processes, the implementation of efficient environmental management systems alongside the command of the environmental legal standards has to achieve the goal of an economical, yet optimal application of resources.
Focal Points
Environnmental Impact Statement including Expert Opinion
- EIS documentation within the framework of the proceedings of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), regional impact assessment procedures or planning approval procedures
- Strategic environmental audits
- Preparation and coordination of expert opinions (e.g. immission forecasts, bias measurements, mapping, Natura 2000)
Immission Protection / Air Pollution Control
- Immission prognoses for airborne pollutants and odors with several dispersion models (AUSTAL 2000, LASAT, MLuS, for example)
- Chimney height determination
- Ammonia/nitrogen reports
- Conceptual design and evaluation of emission and immission reduction measures
Implementation of Environmental Management Systems
- Implementation of nominally-conforming management systems, Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) regulations / DIN EN ISO 14001, coaching, waste management company
- Coupling with QM / safety management systems (integrated management systems)
- Environmental and energy consultations (ÖKOPROFIT, Saxon Business Energy Pass, for example)
Establishment of Concept and Evaluation of Technologies according to Ecological and Economical Criteria
- Life cycle assessment
- Site and system comparisons
- Market and logistical studies
