Department: Ornithology

Our team has long-standing experience in the study of avian ecology and behaviour. We apply a variety of standardized census and survey techniques to determine the abundance and distribution of birds at sea and ashore, including line transect counts from ships and aircraft. We carry out both standard observations as well as advanced radar surveys to quantify bird movements over sea and land. International collaborations allow us to remain current with the latest developments in ornithology.
