10th Rollimaus Football Cup - Part 1

Medal presentation Rollimaus Football Cup
Despite the rain - medals handed out to the children who successfully participated in the Football Cup.

Like many projects and events in the past two years, the traditional soccer cup had to be postponed. The excitement was all the greater now when the sound of a whistle was heard again for the kick-off and the first teams chased after the ball. This was the tenth time that Rollimaus e.V. and the GICON® Group have held this joint annual highlight for the physically and chronically ill children of the AWO residential facility.

"Our commitment to the children is very important to me, because we can give them a piece of normality along the way. It is important that it is not just about financial support but rather about human interaction. That's why I'm pleased that colleagues from GICON® are present at the events and have also developed personal connections with the children here." - Prof. Jochen Grossmann, founder of GICON®.

Unfortunately, the small tournament had to be stopped after a heavy rain because the field became too slippery. However, arrangements have already been made with all the players and Rollimaus e.V. for a second date. In the end, the children from all the teams were happy about receiving a medal and the concluding barbecue.

As a small surprise, the children and Rollimaus e.V. had created a picture with photos of the children, which was then presented to Ms. Petra Matthes from GICON®. It will find a place of honor in the offices of GICON®.

Committed to Rollimaus e.V.

For 14 years now, GICON has been supporting the Dresden association Rollimaus e.V. In the past years, numerous donations in kind and money have been collected, with which, among other things, a swing for wheelchairs could be built or a new bouncy cushion could be financed. But much more important are the many joint activities, such as bowling, playing soccer and visiting to the zoo, which GICON® employees undertake with the children throughout the year.
